Introducing G.A. Hauser!

Award-winning author G. A. Hauser was born in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, USA and attended university in New York City. She moved to Seattle, Washington where she worked as a patrol officer with the Seattle Police Department. In early 2000 G.A. moved to Hertfordshire, England where she began her writing in earnest and published her first book, In the Shadow of Alexander. We asked G.A. what inspired her to write the Ghost story…

"I love things that are supernatural, and have always thought, the truth is out there, if you know what I mean. I don't want to sound like a loon, but a few things have happened in my lifetime to make me believe other planes of life exist, but that's for another story. I am interested in books that expand limits, and ghosts, vampires, and the like—books that push past what is 'normal' and every day. So why not have a pair of ghosts intervene in the lives of the living. It sounded like a fun theory!" ~ G.A. Hauser

1. I'm an animal lover and was in a campaign against fur coats when I went to art school in Manhattan in the 70's.

2. My first call out of the police precinct on my first day on the job was to a dead rotting body. Everyone thought it was hilarious except me.

3. I love to paint as well as write, and do mostly wildlife portraits.

4. I sketch illustrations of my books in a notebook. And they are very naughty drawings indeed, but they make me laugh, so I love them.

5. I adore chocolate covered strawberries.

6. I loved Six Feet Under and cried when they ended it.

7. I can't stand Friends. Or Pop Idol. Barf.

8. I used to be a weight lifter and bench pressed more than my own body weight.

9.After being a cop I have a very warped sense of humor that only other cops, firemen, and my brother, find funny.

10. I think most of the Hollywood stars are horrible, and wish someone new would star in a movie so I'd actually go see it.
